Panama Culture
d

This morning I woke up to Panamas tropical sunrise and its promising scenery. I pondered to myself if I would ever roll out of bed if I would ever escape the suns grasp. Fortunately this was a holiday I was prepared, and psyched to go explore Panama. I walked quietly down the hall way of the resort, only to be greeted by other tourists and resort employees. I anxiously walked into the wide open cafe over looking the beautiful beach. I wondered what tropical delights awaited me. I seated myself next to an open window featuring a view of the whole resort. Suddenly a waiter approached me (¿Qué le gustaría hacer un pedido?) What would you like to order? I quickly ran through in my head some of the key phrases I had learnt the night before, the waiter asked again (Disculpe, ¿qué le gustaría hacer un pedido?) Excuse me what would you like to order?

To which I replied

(la canasta de frutas tropicales y la puesta del sol de Panamá)

The tropical fruit basket and the Panamanian sunset

(¿Eso es todo)

Will that be all he said

(Si)

                                                                                    Yes

As I waited I saw the gentle waves roll in gently kissing the sandy shore line, The  harsh sun shining on the backs of the beach goers as they continue to get tanner and tanner. After the short wait my meal arrives I was astonished the first thing that came to my mind was wow.

What to eat first so many delicious treats. Pineapple, watermelon, rockmelon what to eat first? Surely enough it was all gone in a flash.

With so much to explore I wondered where to go next?

I stood up from where I was sitting as something caught my attention  I had just overheard a family talking about a theme park. I was intrigued by this I had to go but where was it? I ran quickly to ask them.

¿Dónde está el parque temático más cercano?

Where is the nearest theme park?

To which the man replied, (A unos diez minutos al sur de este hotel?)

Ten minutes south of this hotel

I was just about ready to go, I waited anxiously at the bus stop wondering what menacing rides awaited me. Surely enough the bus arrived and not a moment to soon. I allocated myself to a set then we were of but wait the bus stopped near a local seven eleven. Something bright burst through the thick windows of the bus, there was a poster reading 21 million just a ticket away. Well I knew I wasn't gonna win, but it would be nice just to win something small but I knew the length of time I was here so of course I bought one. The ticket was a scratchy but I didn't want to scratch it just yet. I soon was on the bus and eventually at the theme park the ride stood above me gazing down me. But at the same time I felt oppressed by the fear seeping into right through every inch in my body.

I stood there the line was big yet the duration of wait time was short which was bad. I said to myself " You can do this " before I knew it it was time to board
